PROJECT 1 | Green-Info Shelter: Exploring the Environment Poetics

 

In a group of 2, we were given a task to design a simple structure beside CODA, a gallery for design and architecture school in Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. Located in a prominent site, this simple structure needs to deliver two functions. First as a sheltered waiting area and second as an information area of events that is going on the next gallery.

 

Realized that it is located next to a gallery, this simple structure has to reflect the creativity of design and architecture students offers through CODA gallery. inspired by modular design that can be modified anytime according to need and current mood, we design this Green Info Shelter.

PROJECT 2 | Nature Appreciation Center

 

To design a Nature Appreciation center at The Royal Belum Rainforest. To design based on the complexity of site contex as well as strategies to achieve sustainable design. Located in Pulau Banding, Gerik, Malaysia, a 243-hectre man made island, home for over million of spieces of both flora and fauna, it is such a fun yet challanging project to design an appreciation center in the given site.

 

With the understanding of the purpose of this centre, to appreciate the nature, the concept of this NAC, is to be one with the nature. To make nature to play the main role, and built structure is to compliment the nature, Nature Appreciation Center @ Belum Rainforest is designed.
