BUILDING MATERIAL
In a group of 5, we were assign to choose a place and have to produce a mood board and an analysis of building material that chose to be installed in the buidling.
Mood board
mood board is to show and picture the feeling we got when we enter the space. It is supposed that when we see the mood board we are able to feel the same thing when we enter the space. From this assignment, i learned not only how to tell type of material from its physical appearance, and to know about the physical or chemical properties, through this assignment i learn on how to tell certain materials can give certain feeling when you put into a space. To produce a good mood board, we have to know exactly how we feel in a space, and what kind of materiality installed that give that certain feeling. Beside to discover this things, we still have to produce another 2 boards that is more technical, that talks about the properties of materials installed in the space.
Integration Project
The last project we have for our Building Material is an intergration project with Studio final project. From the space we design for our Studio, we have to choose a right material to create the perfect feeling we want the user to feel. From the previous projects we had, we learned the properties of materials, and also how materials play important part in creating a feeling, not only the quality of space, we use the knowledge we gain from all the assignments we had to do our integration project.
